Kappa Puzhungiyathu / Boiled Tapioca with Greenchilli

Tapioca/Kappa puzhungiyathu is a traditional Kerala recipe.Kappa is usually served with fish curry.


Ingredients:

Kappa / Tapioca - 1 kg
Green chillies - 4 to 5 nos.
Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-1 or 2 sprigs
Salt
Water
Coconut oil


Method:

1) Peel and cut the kappa/tapioca into small pieces.Wash it.
2)  Boil the kappa in a large pan with enough water and salt.Cook until it is soft.Drain the excess water.
3) Coarsely grind green chillies and mix it with cooked kappa/tapioca.
4) Heat coconut oil in another pan , splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.Add it to the kappa/tapioca.
