Mutta/Egg Kizhi

Mutta/egg kizhi is a Malabar special snack.Eggs masala is used to fill the kizhi.It is very tasty and spicy snack.


Ingredients:

Boiled Eggs - 2 nos.(slice into small pieces)
Onion - 2(finely chopped)
Green chilli - 2(chopped)
Ginger - 1/2 tsp(finely chopped)
Garlic - 1/2 tsp(finely chopped)
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder / chilli powder - 1 tsp
Salt - As required
All purpose flour(maida) - 1 cup
Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Water
Oil 

Method:

1) Heat oil in a pan ,add chopped onion,green chilli,ginger and garlic.Saute it.
2) Then add the turmeric powder,pepper powder and salt.Mix well.
3) Add the sliced eggs to it and mix well.Take it from flame and keep it aside.


4)  Mix together maida,wheat flour,salt.Add water and make a soft dough.Make small balls out of this mixture and press it very thin(shape of chapati).Place some filling at the center and joint the sides.
5) Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry it.Serve it hot.
