Kerala Mathi Fry / Sardine Fry / Easy Mathi Fry

Mathi / sardine is a very tasty and healthy fish.Sardines are rich in vitamins and minerals.Sardines are natural source of omega 3 fatty acids.This recipe is very simple and few ingredients are used.



Ingredients:

Sardine / Mathi / Chaala - 5 nos.
Red chilli powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 3/4 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tsp 
Curry leaves - few
Coconut oil - as needed
Salt - to taste

Method:

1) Clean and wash the sardines/mathi well.Marinate the mathi/sardine with red chilli powder,turmeric powder,pepper powder and salt.Keep it aside for 30 minutes.


2) Heat coconut oil in a frying pan and fry marinated fish by turning both sides on a medium flame.Add curry leaves.Serve hot.
