Carrot Payasam / Carrot Kheer

Carrot payasam is a very simple and easy to prepare.Carrot and milk are used to make this payasam.It is very healthy payasam.


Ingredients:

Carrot - 1/2 kg
Milk - 1 litre
Sugar - 1/2 cup-3/4 cup
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Cashew nuts - 10 nos.
Raisins - 15 nos.
Almonds - 5 nos.
Ghee -1- 2 tbsp 

Method:

1) Wash and peel the skin of the carrots and chopped it.Grind chopped carrots in a blender into a smooth paste(add milk).Keep aside.


2) Heat ghee in a pan, add cashews,raisins and almonds,fry it.Keep aside.In the same pan,saute carrot paste until the raw smell completely leaves.


3) Then add sugar and let it dissolve.Keep stirring.Then add milk,cardamom powder and mix well.Cook for a few more minutes.



4)  Finally add fried nuts and serve hot.
